StackSource Appoints CRE Industry Veteran Richard Caldwell EVP — Head of Originations
Real estate finance, fund management and commercial banking expert to lead and grow the firm’s originations team and services nationwide
Today I’m excited to officially welcome industry veteran Richard Caldwell to StackSource as EVP — Head of Originations. Based in Sacramento, Richard will be responsible for expanding, training, and supporting our growing team of Capital Advisors.
Richard brings over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate capital advisory services, lending, and equity fund management. His background in commercial real estate debt and equity aligns well with our goals and mission at StackSource. Richard’s experience and depth of knowledge in our industry in a variety of real estate finance roles will be essential to this position, strengthen our team and help us achieve our aggressive growth goals.
Richard shared, “I believe the future of accessing debt and institutional equity for smaller and middle market CRE projects will be driven by efficiencies and increased transparency that can be offered by technology. We are past the days of using a spreadsheet list of lenders and traditional, static reporting for borrowers.”
This hire comes on the heels of our oversubscribed fundraising round, which netted $2.6 million for our company to bring transparency to commercial real estate financing. StackSource has arranged well over 100 financing transactions across the country ranging in size from less than $1 million to over $30 million per transaction. I’m also happy to share that we surpassed our 2020 origination total in the first six months of 2021.
